University of Chicago welcomes diversity in our residency program. Eight first-year resident positions are offered for each academic year. The academic year for 2024 will begin on June 13, 2024. All matched interns are expected to be present for orientation (in-person). Pre-employment screening appointments in Occupational Medicine will be scheduled the week before orientation. The residency committee members of the Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology screen all applications and invite selected applicants for interviews. A completed application must be submitted through the Electronic Residency Application Service (ERAS) and be received by the committee no later than October 1st.
The ERAS application should include:
- a complete ERAS application
- an ERAS-provided medical school transcript
- MSPE (Dean's Letter)
- USMLE test results
- three to four letters of recommendation, this may include SLOE (at least one letter must be from the department chair)
- an ERAS-provided personal statement
- a list of research publications and papers
- photo
- ECFMG Certified by December 10th
Interviews will be scheduled via ERAS upon invitation. The dates available are as follows:
