Our residents are the jewel of our program. They are valued members of the cohesive team including the faculty, midlevel providers, nurses and staff. In addition to working hard, our residents also enjoy comradery both in the hospital and in casual environments. Special activities hosted by the department include:
- Annual resident holiday party in which all residents are excused from duties to celebrate the holiday season in December. Faculty members and staff cover all of the clinical duties for that evening.
- Class outings and career-focused dinners hosted by classmates, faculty, program director and chairman
- Wellness retreat hosted by Dr. Candice Norcott
- Weekend retreats in which the entire class gets the weekend off to do a fun activity of their choosing
- Annual resident faculty meeting for curriculum review and updates on the residency
- Pre-Interview virtual social gathering
- Senior resident graduation celebration
