The Section of Ingalls Memorial Hospital serves the Harvey, IL community from the historic UChicago Medicine Ingalls Memorial Hospital (IMH). The partnership between IMH and UChicago Medicine allows us to bring expert care directly to Harvey. To meet the growing need for women’s health services, particularly prenatal and high-risk pregnancy care, UChicago Medicine Ingalls Memorial will expand its OB/GYN services into a new space this December in the Professional Building on the Harvey campus. The new area will include six exam rooms, including a dedicated procedure room.
We have already brought general OB/GYN services, including prenatal care, cervical cancer screening, contraception and sexual health, menopause care and treatment for fibroids and menstrual concerns, along with minimally invasive gynecology for complex conditions such as fibroids, endometriosis and ovarian cysts, as well as Maternal-Fetal Medicine clinics. Additional subspecialties will launch in 2026.
Many of our physicians have long-standing roots in the community, having served patients at IMH and local FQHCs for years before these new clinics opened. Jamie Horn, MD serves as Chair and Director of the Family Birth Center in Harvey. Our general obstetricians and gynecologists include David Goodyear, MD, Aishat Adebisi, MD, Jameela Media, MD, MPH, Obioma Oparanozie, MD, Shanice Robinson, MD, Zhana Smith, MD, Biren Shah, MD, Anjali Thukhral, MD and Jacqueline White, MD. Bridget Huysman, MD, MPH provides high-risk pregnancy care through our Maternal-Fetal Medicine section, bringing much-needed expertise to an area with limited access to specialized high-risk services. Hannah Ryles, MD is a minimally invasive gynecologic surgeon who treats uterine fibroids, endometriosis, adnexal masses, adenomyosis, abnormal uterine bleeding, pelvic pain and more, offering laparoscopic, robotic and hysteroscopic surgical options.
"Our community outreach efforts and Community Benefit Report identify a need for more women’s health services in this area. Specifically, this area has limited access to prenatal care and high-risk pregnancy care. Our community clinicians have asked for access to subspecialty OB/GYN care both for complex pregnancies and complex surgical needs. Our patients have been traveling long distances for the services that we are planning to bring to the Ingalls Campus," said Dr. Andrea Loberg, Chief of Ingalls Memorial Hospital OB/GYN.
