Medical Student Education
Third year medical students from the Pritzker School of Medicine complete a six-week core clerkship in the Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology. Students can choose to complete their clerkship at UC Hospitals, where they will experience high-acuity Obstetric care and an intensive Gyn-Oncology experience, or Northshore Hospital where they will care for lower risk patients in a community setting. Students in both locations have the opportunity to explore the breadth and depth of our specialty on labor and delivery, the operating rooms, and the outpatient clinic. Residents are very involved in teaching and mentoring our students, and are supported by a resident designed and led residents-as-teachers program.
