Wendy Allen graduated from the University of Illinois Nurse-Midwifery program in 2002. Since that time, she worked in a variety of settings, including a family planning clinic, a small private practice, a large midwifery group practice and, most recently, the University of Chicago. She enjoys providing woman-centered care for adults, teens and adolescents and has an interest in well-woman care as well as prenatal care. She prioritizes listening intently to what each woman says, to help her establish her individual health goals. In her spare time she enjoys her family, hiking and reading.
Cynthia Jacinthe comes to UChicago Medicine with ten years of midwifery and women’s health experience. She graduated from SUNY Downstate Medical Center in New York with her Master’s in Midwifery. She also recently completed her Doctorate in Nursing Practice with a focus in Advanced Practice Leadership from Chamberlain University. Cynthia is passionate about empowering women to be active participants in their reproductive health care. In her free time she enjoys traveling, spending time with her family, and doing volunteer work
Crystal Stamps is a Certified Nurse Midwife with a passion for empowering women to make informed decisions about optimizing health and maintaining healthy lifestyles. She has a special calling to adolescence care, seeking to empower young women in the community with self-worth and respect. She enjoys helping pregnant women achieve their desired birth experiences. Crystal graduated from Frontier Nursing University with her Master of Nursing. She has worked in women’s health for most of her career, primarily in high-risk obstetrics.
