Associate Professor of Obstetrics & Gynecology
Iris Romero MD, MS is an Associate Professor and physician-scientist with a research program focused on repurposing drugs for ovarian cancer prevention and treatment. Since joining the faculty in 2007, Dr. Romero has successfully merged a career in cancer biology with clinical application to provide cutting edge, quality healthcare for women. She has received NIH funding through the national Reproductive Scientist Development Program. Her research has been published in top scientific journals including Nature, Obstetrics & Gynecology, American Journal of Obstetrics and Gynecology, and Gynecologic Oncology. Her clinical interests includes care for women with genetic predisposition for cancer and general obstetrics and gynecology.
